One of the biggest sports tragedies . Would have been the most dominate man in the NBA overdosed the night he was selected number one. This is a good segment on him, mind the Block half way throw where his hand is higher then the top of the backboard…” I love jumpin I love dunkin been doing it since junior highschool.” Len Bias.

This is pretty funny and sooo true. It’s kind of long, but well worth the watch. Sometimes I wish I could get rid of my Blackberry but i’m in far too deep at this point.

New Santa Monica Ferris Wheel

Posted in etc., for serious, story on May 30th, 2008 by Andrew

So I just moved to LA and have been partying explosively.  Apparently the Santa Monica Ferris Wheel has just been redone or something, but the current one is the only one I know of.  All I know is that at a bar right by it on the pier you can get 32 oz of beer for $8.50.

i’m going to buck the trend of being P.C. and say this shit is hilarious. Read this blurb from NBC Arizona…

“The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office says a pickup truck carrying as many as 60 illegal immigrants crashed early Sunday morning near the town of Arizona City. Four of the occupants were dead at the scene. 27 others, many of them airlifted, were taken to hospitals in Tucson and Phoenix. The rest of the people in the truck fled the scene. So far no arrests in connection with the accident…. The driver of the truck was among the people who fled the scene after the crash.”

The Telegraph reports that students from the Queen Elizabeth School in Kirkby Lonsdale, Cumbria, celebrated the end of a school term by “having unprotected sex in a village square.” Talk about a great idea. I need to meet the lad who organized this fiesta. If anyone cares to join, alldayson.com is hosting a live reenactment next Friday at Middle Park in Bettendorf, IA.

“Alison Hughes, the deputy head of the Queen Elizabeth School in Kirkby Lonsdale, Cumbria, was so concerned that she detailed the “catalogue of disasters” in a two-page letter to parents, warning them about the sexual activity, violent behaviour and alleged drug abuse that took place. She wrote: “We have had to help a disturbingly high number of girls through the aftermath of having unprotected sex that evening, most of whom have told us they were too drunk to be in control of themselves. The risks are real. Assume the worst.”

Neil Taplin, the landlord of the nearby George and Dragon pub, said that youths had urinated against his wall and sworn at him when he refused to sell them cigarettes. “They were a law to themselves,” he said. “It was upsetting for people in the village. We are all quite close and look out for each other.”

A resident involved in the clean-up said that she saw evidence of drug use, blood stains and broken glass and said that a newly fitted sink had been smashed.”
