Amethyst Initiative

There is a movement called the Amethyst Initiative that is trying to lower the drinking age in the US to curb binge drinking in college age students:

“(AP) — College presidents from about 100 of the nation’s best-known universities, including Duke, Dartmouth and Ohio State, are calling on lawmakers to consider lowering the drinking age from 21 to 18, saying current laws actually encourage dangerous binge drinking on campus.”

If you think about it, the drinking age is lower in almost every other country and they seem to be more responsible with driving and handling themselves. Maybe lowering the drinking age would make teens more mature about the situation. I know in Iowa everyone started drinking in about 8th grade, so I don’t know how much it would change things there. When I lived in LA, I went to a wine tasting club that was hosted every week by my friend Jesse (Young Winos of LA). Basically every meeting I went to ended drunkenly debating various things, and me sarcastically ridiculing whoever I could. He just made this music video which is legit, I must say. Check out his website www.makemeyourvp.com. Props to Jesse, I guess learning to play guitar to impress girls worked out totally to your advantage.

Always make sure to research the convenience Store before you Rob it, otherwise you might just run into the Iranian Terminator.

Earthquake smearthquake

Posted in educational, for serious on August 6th, 2008 by Andrew

I was at work in LA during this earthquake.  It was pretty cool, kinda freaky, the whole world is just shaking.  It is funny how when an earthquake hits hollywood there are a couple dozen studios rolling cameras that record it.  It turns everything into reality TV.  I am back chilling in Iowa for a while before I go to London.  Anyone let me know if you are around in Iowa and want to take me boating.   I am going to try and find somewhere to DJ a couple nights a week, let me know if you have ideas.

This dunk was a couple years ago in the olympics, and is one of my favorites. Steals the ball and then flushes it over the other teams seven foot two inch center.

29th Annual Mooning of Amtrak

Posted in educational on July 12th, 2008 by kaiser

So guys, Good-Farm and I decided to show up at the Mooning of the Amtrak.  It’s pretty much the only cool thing that happens in south Orange County.  Just ask these guys, Chuck and Henry from San Juan Capistrano..picture taken at roughly 3:30 PM.  After 28 years of peaceful (cop free) partying, they finally had enough and booted 10,000 drunken idiots out.
